The Writer's Assistant was founded by national best-selling author and award-winning publisher Jessica Tilles. In 2001, Jessica founded Xpress Yourself Publishing, LLC as a self-publishing venture, and by 2006 had turned into an independent publishing house, with a carefully selected roster of talented authors.

In September 2008, Jessica received the 2008 African American Literary Award Show award for Independent Publisher of the Year.

You will have a one-on-one consult with Jessica Tilles. Come armed with questions, pen and paper. Learn what to do, what not to do and what to stay away from.

The fee is $300 for a 3-hour consult, which will span over 3 days (one hour per day).
