JOB TITLE: Home-Based Commission Only Sales Representative

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.

  1. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  2. Follow up on new leads and referrals.
  3. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  4. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  5. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  6. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
  7. Identify and resolve client concerns.
  8. Coordinate staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. 
  2. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  3. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

 

EXPERIENCE
Strong working knowledge of the administrative and desktop publishing fields. Knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus, but not necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and manuals. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients or vendors.
 

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and other forms of communication. Ability to resolve problems and conflicts involving standardized situations.
 

POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  2. Coordinate project schedules.
  3. Provide on-the-job training to new sales representatives.

COMMISSION

Sales representative receives 15% commission at the close of each project.
